ambulance station

Architectural Studio Second Year

The station sits on a sloping topography, with the building split into its three main functions.  The first on the highest point of the site is the administration. The second is the living quarters set down into the ground. Third, being the ambulance bay and locker room. All areas are linked with a glass hallway promoting both natural light and the transparency of the emergency services. the staff courtyard sits within the middle of the three structures offering protection of the wind.  The layout seeks to streamline the response path for the officers for quick deployment to incidence while keeping the public entrance away from private areas.
