REFLECTION GARDEN

Architectural Studio First Year

A pavilion set on the edge of the sculpture garden installation, designed to be a place of reflection. The pavilion mimics the Brutalist architecture of the Art Gallery. The pavilion is a monolithic building perched on the edge of a pond. The prism breaks through the roof of the building creating a mystery of what is beyond. The inside of the building plays with light and movement, creating two reflection spaces. The first space circulates around the prism. The second stop movement, but allows views both in and out of the pavilion, while people move around the space.
